A Good SCOUT TROOP Has A GOOD TROOP COMMITTEE. TROOP 1916 HAS A GREAT ONE...

The Scouts are the leaders of Troop 1916. They elect their leadership, develop and carry out ideas for scouting activities, and set the agenda for the Troop's weekly meetings

They are supported, however, by the Troop's Scoutmaster, Alfred Thesmar, and Assistant Scoutmasters.

Just as importantly, the Scouts are provided additional and valuable guidance from the Troop Committee.

The Troop Committee is a group of volunteer parents who work very hard to manage finances, raise funds for the Troop's activities, and ensure that the Scouts have the equipment they need.

The Troop Committee's members make it possible for our Scouts to succeed and have a great time as they rise through scouting's ranks.

Scouting is a family adventure, and it takes a lot of work from our volunteer adult leaders. Therefore, in addition to the Troop Committee's standing officers (see below), every Scout's family in Troop 1916 is expected to contribute one volunteer member (usually a parent, of course) to the Committee and contribute to its important work.

The Troop Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month during a regular Scout Troop Meeting at The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. We are fortunate to have a great bunch of parents who enjoy spending time together, seeing their boys & girls develop into young men & women, and building friendships that last long past the days that their sons become Eagle Scouts.

Below are the members of our Troop Committee's leadership.
