So what do you do with 50 scouts, a Saturday afternoon to kill, 80x12 foot long pieces of bamboo, some twine, t-shirts and a bunch of pumpkins? Well, duh, you build a catapult and launch the pumpkins of course!
The scouts and 4 visiting webelos spent the day split into 10 teams building the aforementioned catapults. It was also our wilderness survival weekend which meant no tents, no matches and no utensils (and by gosh did the wind not help when making a tarp shelter!!!!).
